Called Berken in the AM to let them know our furnace was not working. They were on site that afternoon. Diagnosed the issue and explained thoroughly. Within 48 hours new furnace was installed. Installers were on site for full day and did a great job. It’s been a month now and the furnace has worked great. Berken was very responsive from initials call, determining the problem, explaining options for repair or replace. I appreciate Jeff’s explanation for replacement options to fit our house. The team that arrived for installation were friendly, neat and hard working. I will recommend them to my friends.

Old furnace (from 1990) made a noise on a Friday. Called Berken and they sent a technician within a couple hours. Realized repair didn’t make sense but he did make it work with the noise for the weekend. Monday we received our new furnace. Austin and Gannon did a good job. We also got a new thermostat which they were helpful in programming. I would definitely recommend Berken.

Gannon and Austin did a very professional installation of a Bryant 987m furnace and Aprilaire 720 humidifier. Everything was neatly run, thoroughly explained, and cleaned up before they left. Looks as neat as if they had been doing the work in their own homes. Courteous and friendly people throughout the company. I am very satisfied with the equipment as well. Jeff did a good job explaining my options. Fair price.

Our furnace motor was making lots of noise, so we called Berken’s Heating and Cooling. The technicians came out and it came down to putting money in a 24 year old furnace or a new furnace. We decided it was time to upgrade both our furnace and air conditioning unit. Two technicians, Gannon and Austen, came to do the replacement and were very friendly and professional. Installation went great, everything was neat and tidy and they answered all of our questions. We are very happy with the service we received and would definitely recommend!

Our heat exchanger was not working. We were quoted part replacement or new furnace. We decided on new furnace. We were happy with the technicians and installers, kept everything clean and were very prompt, quality was excellent! Berken has always been attentive to our needs.

We noticed water leaking from the condensing unit of our 1988 furnace on New Years Day. The water was dripping over electrical wiring. A service dude immediately answered our phone call. After telling him we had the confidence to wait overnight, he made a visit the following morning on Friday. On Monday AM, two installers showed up and did a full replacement by noon. Excellent no-pressure advice; excellent installation. Found out later that the cost was competitive with anybody. Could not have turned out better.

We had a problem with water running out of the bottom of our furnace on Christmas Eve. We called Berken. We were given a call back and the technician told me, over the phone, what I could check out myself. He was trying to save us a service call, on a holiday. He said I could call back the day after Christmas and wouldn’t be charged as much as a holiday. As it turned out, a technician came over the following Monday and told us the bad news, “your secondary heat exchanger is bad.” He explained everything very clearly. We had a new furnace installed the following day. The guys that did the installation were nice and neat and cleaned everything up. We would definitely recommend them.

My old furnace stopped working early in December 2025. I called Berken when they opened that day and someone was able to come look at it right away. The best option was to replace it, but while that was being decided on and scheduled the technician was able to give the old one a temporary fix so we weren’t without heat. The entire process of deciding on a new furnace was simple and explained fully and the installation went great. I’m very happy with the service I received.

We noticed a foul odor coming from the exhaust of our furnace. We called Berken and there was a technician at our house that same afternoon. The technician quickly found the problem to be a bad heat exchanger. He explained what our best options were as well as the pros and cons of each option. We felt our best option was to replace our furnace. We scheduled the installation for the following week. Just a couple of days after the technician visited our house our existing furnace decided to quit working. I called Berken and they were able to move up the installation of our new furnace. Everyone we dealt with (office personnel, the technician, and the installers) were professional, friendly, and informative.

Current furnace and central air was 21 years old. Both worked but given the age, decided to upgrade. Got a few quotes. Berken was competitive and Jeff did a great job of discussing what they offered and what he recommended. The technicians did an excellent job during the installation.

We have been pleased with the recent installation of our new furnace as well as the service work that Berken has done on our furnace and A/C during the past 10+ years.

We had our annual service check up reveal issues with our 22 year old furnace and AC. They did not pressure us, but suggested we consider replacing sooner than later. We were given a very fair quote and both units were installed within 10 days of our initial service inspection. Can’t do any better than that !!!

We have been with Berken for over 20 years and have been very satisfied. Our furnace was replaced in 2020 and we just had our 27 year old AC unit done last week. The staff have all been kind, prompt and professional. Prices are reasonable and we highly recommend.

2nd day owning my home and my A/C decided to quit on the hottest and most humid day of the summer! Berken was there (Scott) 3x to try and make the original unit work. However, it was not to be. Jeff was able to get me a new furnace and A/C unit within a few days, get it installed and running in time to ward off the excessive heat that my remodelers were having to work in. Thank you to the entire team for making it happen and now I have no worries that my system will run perfectly for many, many years to come.

We came home on Sunday to a non-functioning air conditioner. We called and left a message. We received a call first thing on Monday morning; technicians were here by 8:30 am and our unit was up and running by 9:30 am. Excellent service always with Berken!

My wife contacted Berken just before the beginning of a heat wave, our central air conditioning was acting up, they came out the same day and got it back up and running, it was a temporary fix as the unit we had was very old. They sent over a quote for a replacement, and we proceeded to order a new unit. The time frame was faster than what I anticipated they were there within a week of ordering. The crew that did the replacement did an excellent job installing the replacement unit. I am very happy with this replacement and will be contacting them again for future heating and cooling needs.

Our furnace went out and Berken had a technician out that afternoon to look at it. The heat exchanger had gone but he was able to get it working until we could get on the schedule for a new one. All staff was knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions I had.

The day before Thanksgiving and disaster strikes. Furnace gets temperamental and decides to spoil our family get together. Not to be outdone, I got on the phone with Berken (Tracy) and told her of our dilemma. She immediately responded, got us on the schedule, within a half hour and problem solved. We figured we’d replace our 26 year old AC before the new coolant requirements come in 2025 and our furnace was over 27 years old so time to bite the bullet and replace the whole thing. Its a little nerve racking making a $12000 investment but Jeff met with us, explained our homes requirements and our best options with no hard sell. I checked with a local competitor and they said “ya, thats a really good price, you should probably go with them”. The AC units for 2024 were running low and our first choice wasn’t available. I know Jeff spent a considerable amount of time searching the area and locking in our next best option. On the day of the install everything went fine and was done professionally with no hiccups. I would definitely go with them again.

My 31 year old furnace was needing replacement. I called around for a few quotes and Berken’s pricing was extremely reasonable compared to the others. We have been using Berken Heating and Cooling to service and maintain the HVAC units for many years. The day finally came when we needed to replace our 26 year old A/C units on both sides of our duplex. We were provided a quotations for replacement that gave us different mfg options. We chose a mid level Bryant A/C unit for “both” sides of the duplex. We set a date for installation (10/30/24), they arrived on time to begin the work. They stayed focused on completing the installation and completed the work by early afternoon of that day. They were professional, courteous and left no mess. The old A/C units were hauled away as part of the work. We are now ready for next year’s cooling season.

They were able to answer all our questions. They were prompt. The technician who came to troubleshoot our furnace was just the greatest; very kind and helpful. He showed us how to keep our furnace heating until the new furnace could be replaced. They throughly explain the process and our choices for the furnace replacement and helped us get the best deal and some rebates to boot! Highly recommend using Berken.

Berken came and installed our new air conditioner only a couple of days after we signed the contract. They came to do the installation on time. It was installed and everything cleaned up in one morning. They put in a new thermostat and patiently explained how it worked. We are happy with the service we received.

This is the fourth unit I have gotten from them.two furnaces and two AC units. I have been with them a long time. They give an accurate time when they will come. They also gave me an accurate estimate of repair cost compared to replacement cost. They took the time to explain the pros and cons of each so I could make a good decision. My husband and I have been working with Berken for replacement parts for our old furnace for years. They were always very helpful getting the parts necessary to keep it running a little longer. When we finally decided to replace both our furnace and AC (37 & 36 years old) due to age, Berken was the first company my husband insisted on working with!

Jeff came out and sat down and showed us our options. He went over everything very thoroughly and answered all our questions. Of course, more questions came up when he left the house and he returned our phone call very quickly and patiently answered even more questions!

We have had Berken Heating & Cooling for years and have always been very satisfied with their service. Just had a new Air Conditioner installed. The technician explained why we would need to replace our old one, even offered to show me on the AC just what was wrong so I would understand the problem. That wasn’t necessary as I trusted him, but I appreciated the offer. The technician who installed the new unite was just as informative explaining whatever I needed to know about the new unit. I definitely recommend them!

I just had Berken install central air through my attic in my house that has boiler heating. I figured I’d have to do multiple mini-splits to cool my home but the central air is up and running and I have cooling to my entire upstairs.
